Stuart H. Taber, 86, of Tripoli, Iowa, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at the Tripoli Nursing Home.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 15, 2012, at the Tripoli Nursing Home with Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating.

Stuart Henry Taber, son of Henry and Cora Taber, was born May 26, 1926, at Acushnet, Massachusetts. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II from September 20, 1944 to July 22, 1946.

Stuart is survived by his wife, Myrtle of Tripoli; one son, Albert of Tripoli; one daughter, Catherine of Arizona; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, George, and two sisters, Mildred and Phyllis.
